Activate the Inner Champion (AIC) is a Professional Development & Mentoring program for Coaches of Teen Athletes created by Live Free Mindfully (LFM). It is a holistic approach that offers coaches cross-training knowledge, skills, and tools to cultivate the “whole athlete.”
Coaches will learn basic yoga and mindfulness techniques to help their athletes optimize the mind-body connection, which is fundamental to empowering athletes to reach their full potential on and off the field.
This training embodies character-building principles through the understanding of LFM’s 4-Pillars to Empowerment® - Strong Mind®, Brave Heart®, Wise Body®, and Noble Spirit®. As coaches embody these principles themselves, they will better support their athletes toward becoming champions, both in sports and in life.
Improves Mental Endurance
Engaging in Strong Mind practices such as conscious breathing, meditation, and visualization fosters focus, reduces anxiety, and builds confidence, and self-regulation for greater emotional stability on and off the field.
Enhances Physical Endurance
Yoga cultivates core strength, balance, flexibility, and proprioception, which are essential for overall physical resilience.
Prevents Injury
By enhancing flexibility, range of motion, and body awareness, yoga helps athletes avoid injuries.
Facilitates Muscle Recovery
Conscious breathwork and the principle of reciprocal inhibition aid in muscle recovery post-activity.
Develops Mind/Body Connection
Athletes and coaches who incorporate mental training techniques alongside physical training often exhibit superior performance and a higher level of overall well-being.
Supports Team Building and Self-Leadership
Incorporating Noble Spirit practices nurtures teamwork and self-leadership skills in the athletic realm and beyond.

Posture Lab: Break down the basics of muscle engagement and joint alignment
Restore & Relax practice: Integration of mind/body practices
5 instructional written sequences focusing on each of the four pillars
One Additional In-Person Clinic (2-hours)
Enhance knowledge and skills in mindful movement to improve the performance for both coach and athlete
